“Now it is time for believers from our churches to muster the courage to cross the street and be salt and light in our neighborhood schools!”

“You are the salt… You are the light.” ~ Jesus

“We can’t run away from our culture and then expect there to be any radical change for the good.”

“One important step in following Jesus and becoming a fisher of men and women is to realize that fish usually travel in schools.” ~ Nate Landis, God Wants His Kids Back

“Our nation’s public schools are filled with young people longing for love, hope, purpose, and direction. They yearn for a family to belong to, a cause to believe in, and a dream to inspire them. At their core – whether they realize it or not – they are longing for Jesus.” ~ Nate Landis, God Wants His Kids Back

“If all the salt and light pulls out of the public school system, should we be surprised if we notice increased decay and darkness?” ~ Nate Landis, God Wants His Kids Back

Our nation’s children are facing decay and darkness. With the absence of godly, Christian influences in our public schools, the decline is rapidly increasing like never before. Now, more than ever, salt and light influences are needed! Can you imagine if every church in our nation got involved in our public schools? The church has done a fine job of sending out brave soul winners across the ocean to bring the good news to others. Now it is time for believers from our churches to muster the courage to cross the street and be salt and light in our neighborhood schools. You and your church can be missionaries and make a difference – TODAY!

James D.

The Spotlight is on… James D.! James is a school bus driver who recently realized that driving a school bus can be an incredible way to be a light for Jesus. He is sure to let his light shine through his actions and attitudes on his bus. As a bus driver, you have time to sit and talk to kids about their lives in a casual way that most teachers don’t get! Through the relationships that he has developed on his bus, he has had the opportunity to answer questions about where he attends church and has even had parents ask if their kids could attend services. The kids who ask to attend services don’t only see James behind the wheel of a bus for school, but also his smiling face behind the wheel as a bus driver for his church bus.
